Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) (coming soon)

from $650.00

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive treatment that uses specialized needles to deposit tiny dots of pigment into the scalp. It is essentially a highly technical "hair follicle tattoo" designed to create the illusion of a full, thick head of hair.

The Technical Process

  • Layering Dots: I use a "stippling" method to place thousands of tiny pigment deposits. This adds depth and prevents the tattoo from looking like a solid block of color.

  • Pigment Type: Specialized SMP pigments are used rather than traditional tattoo ink. These are designed not to "spread" or change color (turning blue or green) over time.

  • Depth: The needle only reaches the upper dermis, which is shallower than a standard body tattoo. This ensures the dots stay crisp and mimic a real follicle.

What It Solves

  • Receding Hairlines: It can reconstruct a natural-looking hairline for those who are completely bald.

  • Thinning Hair: For men and women with "see-through" scalps, the pigment acts as a concealer to make the hair appear significantly denser.

  • Alopecia: It provides a permanent solution for various forms of alopecia by masking patchy hair loss.

Recovery & Maintenance

  • Pain Level: Most describe it as a "stinging" sensation, generally rated a 3 out of 10.

  • Healing: The scalp may be red for 24–48 hours. You must avoid heavy sweating and washing your head for the first 4–5 days.

  • The "Perfecting" Phase: Because the immune system tries to reject some pigment initially, 3 sessions are typically standard to achieve the final, realistic look.
